On 11 November 2022, the Council and the European Parliament interrupted negotiations on the EU budget for 2023 without agreement. The two arms of the budgetary authority concluded that more time was needed to bridge their differences and that they would reconvene a conciliation committee meeting on Monday 14 November in the morning. The legal deadline for reaching agreement on the new EU budget is 14 November by midnight.
