One of Lithuania’s largest military exercises is underway, gathering nine NATO Allies, namely Belgium, Czechia, Germany, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States, for intense training at Pabrade Training Ground from 17 to 30 October 2022.
The exercise, which involves more than 3,500 troops, tests the ability of the Lithuanian Army’s Iron Wolf Brigade to carry out defensive operations and counter-attacks. NATO’s German-led multinational battlegroup based in Lithuania is participating, as is a US Army battalion assigned to Lithuania on a rotational basis.
