Building an asbestos free Europe for workers

As part of its work to prepare an opinion on the Commission package to better protect people from asbestos and ensure an asbestos-free future, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is organising a hybrid public hearing on 31 October 2022 from 10:00 am to 13:00. The aim of the event is to gather input from other EU Institutions, civil society and academia on the following questions: • What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Commission's package? • What kind of activities do different actors carry out to protect workers from asbestos exposure, and are there any best practices to be shared? Your participation and input are most welcome! Construire une Europe sans amiante pour les travailles

Dans le cadre de ses travaux de préparation d’un avis sur le paquet de la Commission visant à mieux protéger les personnes contre l'amiante et à assurer un avenir sans amiante, le Comité économique et social européen (CESE) organise une audition publique hybride le 31 octobre 2022 de 10h à 13h. L’objectif de cette manifestation est de recueillir les contributions d’autres institutions de l’UE, de la société civile et du monde universitaire sur les questions suivantes : • Quels sont les points forts et les points faibles du paquet de la Commission ? • Quel type d’activités les différents acteurs réalisent-ils pour protéger les travailleurs contre l'exposition à l'amiante, et existe-t-il des bonnes pratiques à partager ?
