- EU cheddar prices: 481 €/100 kg, +2.0% up in last 4 weeks;
- IT spot milk price stable at 67.50 c/kg (25/09/2022);
- Increase of feed costs (+0.5%) and decrease of energy costs (+3.3%) in week 38 compared to the previous 4 weeks;
- EU milk deliveries in Jan.-July 2022 are 0.5% below 2021 deliveries during the same period;
- Decrease of most EU dairy productions in Jan.-July 2022: butter (-1.9%), SMP (-2.3%), WMP (-4.3%), fermented milk (-1.0%), drinking milk (-0.7%) , condensed (-3.7%) and cheese (-1.0%). Increase for cream (+1.1%);
- EU butter exports to China decreased by 32% and slightly increased to the US (+1%) during the first 7 months of 2022;
- EU cheese exports stable to the US and down to Switzerland (-5%) and Japan (-2%);
- In Jan.-July 2022, EU SMP and WMP exports to China were down: -41% and -11% respectively. SMP exports down to Algeria (-7%) and Indonesia (-23%) and WMP exports up to Oman (+17%) and Kuwait (+27%);
- US dairy exports of butter(oil) and cheese up in Jan.-July 2022 (respectively +45% and +15%). Powder exports down: SMP (-8%), WMP (-1%);
- In Jan.-July 2022, NZ exports of butter(oil) and SMP up (respectively +6% and +5%). Cheese and WMP exports down (respectively -13% and -21%);
- Almost all Chinese imports down in Jan.-July 2022: butter(oil) (-5%), cheese (-21%), SMP (-28%), WMP (-11%), wheypowder (-34%), casein(ate)s (-15%), condensed (-27%).
