Barack Obama :The Affordable Care Act, twelve years later

 

Hi there, Twelve years ago, I signed the Affordable Care Act (ACA) into law.  I’ve said before that the night the ACA passed was one of the most meaningful in the White House. To me, it was a bigger deal than the night I was elected president, because I knew the law would make a difference in millions of people’s lives.  Today, we continue to see the impact of what became known as ObamaCare. In just the past year, enrollments are up, the percentage of uninsured Americans is down, and more people than ever are benefiting from the economic security that health care provides.  LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ACA AT 12 When we open the doors of the Obama Presidential Center, visitors will be able to learn more about the Affordable Care Act and the activists, staff, and elected officials who fought for decades to make health care a reality.
