Highlights
EU butter prices: 550 €/100 kg, +4.6% up in last 4 weeks;
EU SMP prices: 324 €/100 kg, +2.7% up in last 4 weeks;
EU WMP prices: 408 €/100 kg, +3.9% up in last 4 weeks;
EU cheddar prices: 332 €/100 kg, +0.2% up in last 4 weeks;
Increase of feed costs (+1.2%) but decrease of energy costs (-3.4%) in week 50 compared to the previous 4 weeks;
IT spot milk price slightly down to 47.5 c/kg (19/12/2021);
GDT last auction (21/12/2021): general price index -1.5%. Price increased for: lactose (+3.7%), SMP (+0.6%), butter (+1%) and cheddar (+0.5%); decrease for WMP (-3.3%);
EU milk deliveries in Jan.-Oct. 2021 slightly down (-0.1%) compared to the same period last year (+0.2% leap year adjusted);
Decreases of milk products production in Jan.-Oct. 2021: butter (-1.9%), SMP (-4.4%), WMP (-10.5%), condensed (-2.3%), fermented milk (-2.3%) and drinking milk (-0.8%), and increases for: cheese (+1.9%) and cream (+1.6%).
