+531,000 new jobs The U.S. economy added 531,000 new jobs in October, according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics report, and the unemployment rate dropped to 4.6%. The Biden-Harris administration is getting Americans back to work at a historic pace, with 5.6 million jobs added since the President took office and an average of 620,000 jobs per month. |
New Emergency Temporary Standard enhances coronavirus protections for millions of workers OSHA’s new Emergency Temporary Standard requires covered businesses with 100 or more employees to ensure every worker is fully vaccinated – with paid time to get the vaccine – unless they require unvaccinated employees to undergo weekly testing and wear face coverings. The standard aims to help decrease worker hospitalizations and deaths from COVID-19, and keep our economy open. |
HIRE Vets Medallion Awards Ceremony On Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. ET, Secretary Walsh will recognize the 849 recipients of the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award in a virtual ceremony.
