Latest update Dashboard: Milk and dairy products Highlights EU avg. farm gate milk prices +1.1% in August (36.40 c/kg); EU butter prices: 427 €/100 kg, +4.7% up in last 4 weeks; EU SMP prices: 269 €/100 kg, +2.8% up in last 4 weeks; EU WMP prices: 333 €/100 kg, +2.6% up in last 4 weeks; EU cheddar prices: 327 €/100 kg, +0.6% up in last 4 weeks; Increase of feed costs (+0.9%) and energy costs (+3.9%) in week 39 compared to the previous 4 weeks; IT spot milk price up, now at 41 c/kg. (3/10/2021); GDT last auction (5/10/2021): general price index 0%. Price increased for: butter milk powder (+9.7%), lactose (+0.4%), SMP (+0.5%), butter (+0.4%), cheddar (+0.7%) and decreased for WMP (-0.4%); USA is still more price competitive on butter (difference:~1000 USD/tonne vs. EU&Oceania), SMP while Oceania is more competitive on WMP and the EU on cheddar.
