Dashboard: Milk and dairy products
Highlights
EU butter prices: 394 €/100 kg, +0.1% up in last 4 weeks;
EU SMP prices: 251 €/100 kg, +1.2% up in last 4 weeks;
EU WMP prices: 314 €/100 kg, -0.4% down in last 4 weeks;
EU cheddar prices: 325 €/100 kg, +0.9% up in last 4 weeks;
Increase of feed costs (+3.3%) and decrease of energy costs (-0.8%) in week 33 compared to the previous 4 weeks;
IT spot milk price up, now at 39.3 c/kg. (22/8/2021);
NZ milk production +1.7% in June 2021 (1st month of new season);
US milk production +2.4% in Jan.-June 2021;
EU milk production in first 6 months of 2021 at the same level as in 2020 (+0.5% with leap year adjusted);
Decreases of EU milk products production in Jan.-June 2021 for: butter (-0.9%), SMP (-3.7%), WMP (-12.1%), fermented milk (-2%) and drinking milk (-0.6%) and increases for: cheese (+2.9%), cream (+2.8%), concentrated milk (+4.6%).
