President Obama first met three of the young men who are a part of this conversation when he participated in a Becoming a Man (BAM) roundtable nearly a decade ago. The President was deeply moved by the stories he heard from the young men, as well as by BAM’s success in reducing violence and increasing graduation rates. My Brother’s Keeper and its mission to lift up programs like BAM all over the country who are making a real impact.
