On 19 May, the IMI Group holds a virtual conference to take stock of the situation eight months after the presentation of the New Pact on Migration and Asylum and exchange views on how to build a meaningful and functioning Pact. Featuring speakers form the EESC and other EU institutions, international and European organisations, social partners and civil society organisations, the event will explore how to overcome the current deadlock and create convergence to turn the Pact into a tool that could deliver the systemic change needed to achieve a sound common migration and asylum policy in the EU.   Please find the agenda here The public hearing will be held remotely via INTERACTIO. Le 19 mai, le groupe IMI organise une conférence virtuelle pour faire le point 8 mois après la présentation du nouveau pacte sur la migration et l’asile et débattre de la manière d’élaborer un pacte digne de ce nom et efficace.   Des intervenants de divers horizons – CESE et autres institutions de l’UE, organisations internationales et européennes, partenaires sociaux et OSC – exploreront comment surmonter l’impasse actuelle et créer une convergence pour faire du pacte un outil susceptible d’apporter le changement systémique nécessaire à la mise en place d’une politique commune solide en la matière.
