Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks with the next premier of Nova Scotia Iain Rankin

Yesterday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with Iain Rankin, the new leader of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party and the next premier of the province.
The Prime Minister congratulated Mr. Rankin on his successful leadership campaign and offered support as he transitions into his new role during this unprecedented time.
The two leaders committed to working closely together to support people and businesses through the pandemic, with a particular focus on rolling out vaccines to Canadians as quickly as possible. They also agreed to collaborate to address other shared priorities, such as protecting the environment, creating jobs and growth, and supporting the Atlantic Loop to help build a sustainable future for Nova Scotians.

Hier, le premier ministre Justin Trudeau s’est entretenu avec Iain Rankin, le nouveau chef du Parti libéral de la Nouvelle-Écosse et prochain premier ministre de la province.
Le premier ministre Trudeau a félicité M. Rankin pour sa fructueuse campagne à la direction et lui a offert son soutien durant la transition à son nouveau poste en cette période sans précédent.
Les deux dirigeants se sont engagés à travailler en étroite collaboration afin de soutenir les gens et les entreprises durant la pandémie, particulièrement en ce qui concerne la distribution de vaccins aux Canadiens le plus rapidement possible. Ils ont convenu de collaborer dans le cadre d’autres priorités communes, notamment la protection de l’environnement, la création d’emplois et de croissance ainsi que l’appui à la boucle de l’Atlantique, et ce, afin de contribuer à bâtir un avenir durable pour les gens de la Nouvelle-Écosse.
