COVID-19 Workplace Guidance

Responding to President Joe Biden’s executive order on worker health and safety, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued stronger guidance on identifying coronavirus exposure risks and implementing a COVID-19 Prevention Program at work.

Stronger Worker Protections

The Wage and Hour Division is ending the Payroll Audit Independent Determination program, which allowed employers to self-report violations and avoid accountability.



HIRE Vets Medallion Award

Starting Jan. 31, the department is accepting applications for the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award, to recognize employers that meet standards for excellence in recruiting, hiring and retaining veterans.

ACA Review

An executive order calls on the secretary of labor to review agency actions to determine whether they protect and strengthen Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act and make high-quality health care accessible and affordable for every American.

300A Deadline
