The new CCBE Presidency takes office as of 1st January 2020

The CCBE Presidency is composed as follows: President: Ranko Pelicarić (Croatia) First Vice-President: Margarete von Galen (Germany) Second Vice-President: James MacGuill (Ireland) Third Vice-President: Panagiotis Perakis (Greece)   The new President, Ranko Pelicarić is a former President of the Croatian Bar association and a former Chair of the CCBE Committee “Platform for Exchange, Cooperation and Outreach” (PECO) which provides support to CCBE observer and associate members. He takes over from José de Freitas (Portugal).   About the CCBE: The CCBE represents the bars and law societies of 45 countries, and through them more than 1 million European lawyers. Founded in 1960, the CCBE is recognised as the voice of the European legal profession by the EU institutions, and acts as the liaison between the EU and Europe's national bars and law societies. The CCBE has regular institutional contacts with those European Commission officials, and members and staff of the European Parliament, who deal with issues affecting the legal profession. The CCBE is an international non-profit-making association incorporated in Belgium.

Entrée en fonction de la nouvelle Présidence du CCBE le 1er janvier 2020.

La présidence du CCBE est composée des personnes suivantes : Président : Ranko Pelicarić (Croatie) Première vice-présidente : Margarete von Galen (Allemagne) Deuxième vice-président : James MacGuill (Irlande) Troisième vice-président : Panagiotis Perakis (Grèce)   Le nouveau président, Ranko Pelicarić, est l’ancien président du barreau croate et du comité du CCBE « Plateforme d'échange, de coopération et d’ouverture » (PECO) qui apporte son soutien aux membres observateurs et associés du CCBE. Il succède à José de Freitas (Portugal). À propos du CCBE Le Conseil des barreaux européens (CCBE) représente les barreaux de 45 pays, soit plus d’un million d’avocats européens. Fondé en 1960, le CCBE est reconnu comme le porte-parole de la profession d’avocat en Europe par les institutions européennes. Il assure la liaison entre l’Union européenne et les barreaux nationaux. Le CCBE est en contact régulier avec les représentants de la Commission, les eurodéputés et leurs collaborateurs responsables des questions concernant la profession d’avocat. Le CCBE est établi en Belgique sous la forme d’une association internationale sans but lucratif.
