AHEPA Condemns Publisher's Call for KKK to "Night Ride Again," Calls for His Resignation
"The KKK terrorized immigrants and minorities, including Americans of Hellenic heritage, during its resurgence in the early 20th century. The KKK's intimidating and sometimes violent discrimination toward Greek immigrants led to the founding of our Order in 1922 in Atlanta-the home of the KKK's headquarters at the time," Supreme President George E. Loucas said. He called for the newspaper's publisher and editor, who authored the editorial, to resign. read more | Coverage: The Pappas Post

AHEPA Cooley's Anemia Foundation Donates $10,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
The AHEPA Cooley's Anemia Foundation donated $10,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a further testament to AHEPA's enduring commitment to medical research, announced Supreme President George E. Loucas and Cooley's Anemia Foundation Chair Ike Gulas, PSP.  AHEPA presented the donation to Richard Peterson, senior liaison, National Groups and Organizations, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, on Feb. 20.  read news release
Supreme President Attends Leadership 100Conference
Supreme President George E. Loucas, and his wife, Sandra, attended the 28th Annual Leadership 100 Conference held in Boca Raton, Fla. Feb. 22 and 23. His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, Geron of America, recognized and thanked Supreme President Loucas for attending. The event marked the 35th anniversary of Leadership 100. AHEPA is a proud member of Leadership 100.

Memphis Chapter 7 Reactivated
Supreme President George E. Loucas embarked on a multi-state visitation that included the reactivation of the historic Spero J. Zepato Chapter 7, Memphis, Tenn. (pictured above) The chapter made a donation to AHEPA's #RebuildStNicholas campaign. In addition, Supreme President Loucas visited Chapter 343, Nashville, Tenn., and Chapter 3, Birmingham, Ala., to participate at fundraiser for Chapter 3's scholarship fund.
